§ 1151. Nuisance.

Every person who owns pigs, goats, cattle, carabao or other vegetarian livestock, with the exception of fowl, who willfully and knowingly allows such livestock outside of an enclosure without maintaining the control of livestock by herdsman, device or some other means, shall be guilty of maintaining a nuisance and upon conviction thereof shall be imprisoned for a period of not more than one month or fined not more than 100 ~~one hundred~~ dollars, or both.

§ 1152. Exception.

It shall not be deemed unlawful or a nuisance under this Chapter for any person who owns or is in possession of an island or islet or persons who jointly own or are in possession of an island or islet to allow livestock under Section 1151 of this Chapter, outside of an enclosure.

§ 1153. Civil Remedies.

It shall be the right of any person who owns or is in possession of land where livestock is in violation of Section 1151 of this Chapter, trespass to seize, confiscate or kill such livestock if real or personal property is damaged by the trespassing livestock without incurring liability to the owner of the livestock. Any person who suffers damage to his personal or real property by the trespassing livestock is entitled to compensation from the owner of the livestock for the value of the damage and upon payment of compensation the trespassing livestock if having been seized or confiscated shall be returned to its owner.
