Fireworks Prohibition

§ 8001.  Fireworks: Import, Manufacture, Sale and Use Prohibited.
§ 8002.  Penalty.

     § 8001.  Fireworks:  Import, Manufacture, Sale and Use Prohibited.
     It shall be unlawful for any individual, partnership, firm, corporation or organization to import, manufacture, sell or use fireworks in the State of Chuuk Truk.  For the purpose of this Chapter Act, fireworks shall include any inflammable devices containing gunpowder or other similar substances capable of making a loud noise or used for the purpose of scenic displays or effects. This Chapter Act shall not apply to devices used on sea-vessels for safety purposes.

     § 8002.  Penalty.

     (a)  Any individual, partnership, firm, corporation or organization who imports, manufactures or sells fireworks in Chuuk Truk State shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be liable for a fine of up to $500.00, or up to six months imprisonment, or both.

     (b)  Any individual, partnership, firm, corporation or organization who uses fireworks in Chuuk Truk State shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be liable for a fine up to $100.00, or up to two months imprisonment, or both.
