      1371.  Purpose.
The main purpose of this Chapter Act is to require all importers whether an individual person or partnership, joint venture, incorporation, company, or business entity which imports cars or vehicles, outboard engines, and generators to make sure spare parts for those vehicles, outboard engines, and generators are available for repairs and replacement purposes.

Editor's note:  CSL 3-95-2 that created this Chapter was signed into law by the Governor on July 10, 1995.

      1372.  Findings.
It is the finding of the Legislature that consumers are at disadvantage or at total loss when importers of vehicles, outboard engines, or generators do not have spare parts available in the State of Chuuk.  It is the further finding of the Legislature that in most cases consumers are forced to abandon or sell off at a loss a newly purchased vehicle, generator, or outboard engine due to the fact that no spare parts are available for sale within the State.
