Peace Corps Review Board

     § 1901.  Established.
     There is hereby established a Peace Corps Review Board for Truk District Chuuk State.

     § 1902.  Membership.
     There shall be five members on the Peace Corps Review Board, three shall be appointed by the President and Speaker of the Truk District Chuuk State Legislature for two year terms, one his appointees of whom shall be a member of the Truk District Chuuk State Legislature.  Two shall be appointed by the District Administrator Governor for two year terms.  and The Truk District Chuuk State Peace Corps Director shall be an ex officio member of the Board.  The first meeting of the Peace Corps Review Board shall be called by the President and Speaker, the District Administrator Governor, or the Peace Corps Director.  The Legislator shall serve as temporary Chairman until the Board elects a permanent Chairman.  The members of the Peace Corps Review Board, except the Peace Corps Director, shall receive compensation for one meal per meeting  and shall in addition receive five dollars ($5.00) per meeting from the funds appropriated pursuant to this Chapter, but shall receive no other compensation from funds appropriated by the Truk District Chuuk State Legislature.

     § 1903.  Meetings.
     The Peace Corps Review Board shall meet at least once each quarter in a room designated for its use in the Truk District Chuuk State Peace Corps Building.  Additional meetings may be called by the Chairman or by the Peace Corps Director.  Three members present at a meeting shall constitute a quorum.

     § 1904.  Duties and powers.
     The Peace Corps Review Board shall oversee and review all Peace Corps activities in Truk District Chuuk State.  It shall review the program and the policies of the Peace Corps in Truk Chuuk.  It shall designate how the funds appropriated pursuant to this Chapter shall be expended.  It shall review the appearance, behavior, problems, and work of all Peace Corps Volunteers in Truk District Chuuk State.  The Peace Corps Review Board may recommend the termination or reassignment of Peace Corps Volunteers within Truk District Chuuk State.  It shall evaluate and arbitrate disputes arising between Peace Corps Volunteers and Trukese Chuukese people.

     § 1905.  Appropriation authorization.
     There is hereby authorized an annual appropriation out of the General Fund of the State of Chuuk Legislature of such sum as the Legislature deems necessary to support the Peace Corps program in Truk District Chuuk State.  Such funds as are appropriated shall be administered by the Truk District Chuuk State Peace Corps Director subject to the approval and the priorities established by the Peace Corps Review Board.
