Civic Action Team
Coordination Committee

1801.  Purpose.

      180l.  Purpose.
     There is hereby established a Truk District Chuuk State Civic Action Team Coordination Committee for the purpose of serving as a guide and advisor to the Officer-in-Charge of the Civic Action Team in Truk District Chuuk State.  The Coordination Committee, through the Officer-in-Charge of the aforementioned Civic Action Team, shall provide basic guidance and advice to the members of the said Civic Action Team assigned to Truk District Chuuk State on any and all projects of the Civic Action Team.

      1802.  Membership.
     There shall be five (5) members of the Coordination Committee, two (2) of whom shall be members of the Chuuk State District Legislature and be appointed by the President and Speaker of the Truk District Chuuk State Legislature and two (2) by the District Administrator Governor.  The fifth member shall come from the Civic Action Team.  Each member, except the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House and the District Administrator Governor who may serve as ex-officio members of the Coordination Committee without the right to vote, shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing official.  At its initial organizational meeting, to be called by the President and Speaker of the Truk District Chuuk State Legislature, the Coordination Committee, shall elect its officers consisting of a Chairman and any other officers the membership deems necessary to carry out their duties and functions effectively.

      1803.  Meeting; Quorum.
     The Coordination Committee shall hold as many meetings as the Chairman may deem necessary to transact business of the Coordination Committee.  Three voting members present at a meeting shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of transacting business.

      1804.  Duties; Powers.
     The Coordination Committee shall have the authority to review all requests for assistance submitted by municipalities to the Civic Action Team.  Upon reviewing such requests, the Committee shall then determine the priority in providing the needed assistance depending upon the urgency of each request.  The Committee may then recommend the termination or reassignment of the members of the Civic Action Team within Truk District Chuuk State.

      1805.  Compensation; Members.  
     The members of the Coordination Committee shall be entitled to compensation at the rate established by the Truk District Chuuk State Legislature for members of boards and committees when actually performing the duties and functions of the Coordination Committee, as approved by the Chairman, except that those members who are employed by the Trust Territory Government of the State of Chuuk shall instead receive their regular salaries while performing the duties and functions of the Coordination Committee.
