§ 1251.  Purpose.

     § 1251.  Purpose.
     The purpose of this Act Chapter is to change any and all references to "Truk" or "Truk State" to "Chuuk" or "Chuuk State" , respectively, in prior legislation enacted by the Legislature under the Truk State Government Charter or by the Truk District Legislature of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.  This action is taken to make legislative languages conform to the change from "Truk" to "Chuuk" as mandated in the Chuuk State Constitution.

     § 1252.  Reference to "Truk" becomes "Chuuk."
     Any reference to "Truk" or "Truk State" or any other use of "Truk" in legislation passed by the Truk District Legislature of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands or by the Legislature under Truk State Government Charter is hereby changed to "Chuuk" or "Chuuk State" with regard to governmental agencies, authorities, bureaus, quasi-governmental agencies and any other entity that is organized or incorporated under the name of "Truk" .  In all cases and without limitations, "Truk" will be replaced by "Chuuk" without regard to the content of its use.

     Notwithstanding Section 1252, references to "Truk" within the context of citing laws or codifications of those laws passed by the Truk District Legislature of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands (Truk District Law or TDL and Truk District Code or TDC) and the Truk State Government Charter (Truk State Law or TSL) shall retain their original designation.
